In early February, after a series of crazy and unexpected twists and turns, I opened my email to find that I was given the opportunity of a lifetime.  After many months of celebration and rigorous preparation, the time has finally come to pack up my bags and head to the airport.  On December 5^th,  I will be leaving the United States for seven weeks to train as an expedition team member/lecturer for a luxury expedition cruise line! This voyage will take me across the Indian Ocean, allowing me to visit South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, Tanzania, the Seychelles, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India (see map below).

           If all goes well and I become a certified zodiac driver, snorkel instructor, and full-fledged lecturer – I will also be travelling to 20+ countries in 2019. I wanted to get this blog up and running so that I could share my adventures with my friends, family and strangers. My current goal is to post something once a week, although – be patient with me, the Internet will be slow in the middle of the ocean!
